Here is our usual school day itinerary. Children spend a total of 32.5 hours a week in school.
You can also extend your child’s day at either or both ends by joining Muxton Extra, our extended provision service.
8.35: The doors are unlocked and the children are met at the door. Teachers are in their classrooms to receive the children.
Please do not leave your child unattended on the school premises before this time, as staff cannot take responsibility for them. Whilst we encourage children to be independent we ask that parents ensure their child has entered the building safely.
8.45: Doors close and the school day begins
10.20 to 10.40: KS1 Morning break.
10.45 to 11.05: KS2 Morning break.
The children are supervised by members of the staff
12.00 to 1.00: KS1 Lunch break
12.15 to 1.15: KS2 Lunch break
3.15: End of school day. Children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 must be collected by parents or other adults normally responsible for them from their classrooms. Children will be brought out by the class teacher. This is an ideal time to pass on any messages.
Children in Years 3-6 will be released from the classroom to meet parents/ carers on the playground.
